PhD Research Guidelines
CSI scholar’s thesis is expected to meet the following criteria to qualify for the doctoral degree:
- The thesis must make a significant contribution to the field, whether by discovering new knowledge, connecting previously unrelated facts, developing new theory, or revising established perspectives.
- The thesis must represent the candidate's original work and be written entirely by the candidate.
- The thesis, in whole or in part, must meet a standard that merits publication, regardless of whether it is subsequently published.
- The research and resulting thesis should reflect the scope and depth of work expected after four years of full-time study.
