Translational Exchange (TREX) club
The Translational Exchange (TREX) club is setup as a joint initiative between the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore (CSI Singapore), NUS Centre for Cancer Research (N2CR) and the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS), to facilitate the development of meaningful collaborations between clinicians and basic scientists at the three institutes, have open dialogues on clinical/scientific questions, as well as, encourage greater understanding between clinical/scientific questions to achieve their research goals in a collaborative fashion.
This is a targeted tumour specific group meeting of main interest to CSI Singapore, NCIS and N2CR, and specific clinicians and scientists (but open to all faculty) are invited. The clinicians will present available datasets, tissue collections, unusual responders/non-responders while the scientists will present potential leads, markers, techniques for translational work. At the end of each meeting, a collaborative project will be selected by the attendees for funding with varying quantum of between SGD 30,000 – SGD 40,000 for 1 year.
