Irfan Azaman, a Senior Laboratory Executive from Prof. Chng Wee Joo’s lab at CSI Singapore, has been selected to receive a 2023 ASH Abstract Achievement Award from The American Society of Hematology for his abstract titled “Extracellular Vesicles Secreted from Daratumumab Resistant Cells Promote Resistance and Proliferation of Daratumumab Sensitive Cells, Possibly through the Transfer of miRNA Cargo”.

The ASH Abstract Achievement Award is a merit-based award for trainees (i.e. undergraduate students, medical students, graduate students, resident physicians, or post-doctoral [MD or PhD] fellows) who are the first or last author and presenter on a high-scoring annual meeting abstract. He received his award at the ASH Annual Meeting held on December 9-12, 2023, in San Diego, California.
