Last Saturday, the inaugural “Diana Koh Breakthroughs in Cancer Learning Series” took place with Prof. Ashok Venkitaraman and Asst. Prof. Anand Jeyasekharan as esteemed speakers, with the aim of educating the general public on cancer and recent developments in cancer research. We thank everyone who has shown their support for this annual learning seminar aimed at fostering a culture of learning and collaboration. The prize winners of the ‘Diana Koh Young Innovator Prize’ and the ‘Diana Koh Young Innovator Grant’ were also awarded on this day. Jointly supported by CSI Singapore, NUS Medicine and NUS Centre for Cancer Research (N2CR).
The Diana Koh Foundation, established in memory of the late Ms Diana Koh, made a generous gift of S$500,000 towards cancer research with the purpose to provide support to our junior researchers and graduate students working on cancer research to implement their own independent projects and explore research interests. It allows young researchers more directional control over their learning and provides tangible support to bring these ideas into fruition.
