CSI Staff Awarded at NUSMed Awards Ceremony 2017

Prof. Chng Wee Joo – Researcher of the Year, Dr. Polly Chen – Young Researcher of the Year, Dr. Alan Prem Kumar – Graduate Student Mentor of the Year

Congratulations to Professor Chng Wee Joo, Dr. Polly Chen and Dr. Alan Prem Kumar, who were awarded for their research achievements at the NUS Medicine (NUSMed) Awards Ceremony on 14 July! The NUSMed Awards recognises and celebrates the success and efforts of its employees’ outstanding commitment and contributions to research, teaching and mentorship.

 

Prof. Chng Wee Joo, who is Deputy Director and Senior Principal Investigator at CSI, was awarded the Researcher of the Year and Dr. Polly Chen, Principal Investigator, received the Young Researcher of the Year award. They were honoured for their strong and impactful discoveries in cancer research.

Dr. Alan Prem Kumar, CSI’s Principal Associate, was conferred the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine Graduate Student Mentor of the Year (GRAMAY) award. The GRAMAY is an annual award that recognizes and commends mentors for their brilliance in graduate mentorship and the professional advancement of graduate students.
